  • Consumers have access to Alternative Dispute Resolution facilities by using members of Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) Approved Consumer Codes (such as HIES – RECC – Motor Ombudsman) to ensure consumers can complain to impartial bodies, with access to Ombudsman facilities for legal resolution.
  • Products are certified to appropriate standards
  • Installers are accredited, audited and continually monitored by CTSI Approved Consumer Codes.
  • Installers comply with Consumer Rights Act through Consumer Code membership.
  • Installers comply with building control regulations
  • Consumers receive an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) to cover them should their installer be unable to honour their guarantee due to ceasing to trade (all IBG providers registered with Flexi-Orb will be PRA/FCA approved and eligible policyholders will have access to FOS & FSCS).
  • Installers will be certified to appropriate standards to ensure installations are carried out with competency (ELECSA/ Certsure /BBA/PAS 2030/PAS 2035 etc).
  • Ensuring consumers are not mis-sold products based on incorrect & overinflated (to entice to buy)

The above outlines how Flexi-Orb will regulate the deployment of home energy efficiency systems, whilst also ensuring that all participants can take advantage of a shared, flexible energy network by creating interoperability and oversight.
